Main Article Content
Abstract
This study aimed to provide baseline data for the preparation of medical services and industrial accident insurance policies provided to injured workers by analyzing the relationship between patient experience and the treatment period provided by medical institutions. This study used integrated data from the 2017 Panel Study of Workers’ Compensation Insurance (PSWCI) conducted by the Korea Labor Welfare Corporation and analyzed 1,565 subjects. The results showed that chronic disease (p<.05) was a factor affecting patient experience regarding periodic assessment of recovery at medical institutions, while treatment period (p<.001), age (p<.05), chronic disease (p<.01), and medical rehabilitation service (p<.05) significantly influenced patient experience regarding the appropriateness of the duration of treatment provided by the medical institution. Therefore, medical institutions and the Korea Labor Welfare Corporation need to prepare various channels to reflect the opinions of injured workers and improve the system when determining the length of treatment.
