Ecotourism Practices In Selected Tourist Destinations: A Study In Manipur

Abstract

Acknowledging the significance of ecotourism and its advantages, this research investigates and evaluates the ecotourism practices in the chosen tourist destinations of Manipur that contain significant potential from the viewpoints of stakeholders. Additionally, it discusses how travellers and management view the growth of the tourism industry. A thorough exploratory research study was carried out on ecotourism practices in particular tourist destinations utilizing personal interviews, and structured questionnaires, purposive sampling, and extra secondary data from websites, books, journals, and libraries were administered in this investigation. Based on the results, the business firm/practitioner and visitors acknowledged that the chosen locations had a lot of potential for the sustainable growth of tourism industry as sustainable ecotourism attractions that will leverage the financial and social gains. In an effort to promote sustainable ecotourism, this study aims to identify the finest ecotourism practices in the destinations of Manipur that have been chosen. The research recommends prioritizing ecotourism practices. It encourages locals' involvement, encourages visitors to support conservation, and ensures proper maintenance to protect heritages of natural and cultural importance in the tourist destination.
