Motivational Approaches On Teaching English To Multi-Level IT Students

Abstract

Students who major in IT, “Artificial Intelligence”, “CS-Computer Service”, “Mechatronics and Robotics”, “Methods of Teaching Computer Science”, systematization of information, implementation of ITCE services, creating and coding (programming) mobile applications of non-philological universities need to have acceptable level of English language proficiency. This process includes practices directly related to the English language since the main language of the software or operating system is English. Unfortunately, the fact that control commands, instructions, electronic devices and instructions for their operation in programming are presented in English. Lack of foreign language skills among students of different language proficiency levels studying in  IT areas do not allow them to master their field perfectly and in future professional communication raises some problems in its preparation. Teaching lexical terminologies through authentic materials related to the field and tasks based on it is assessed as a solution to the current problems.
