Abstract

  a web service is an interface to some application functionality developed using standard internet technologies. To the users of services, the service's implementation details do not necessarily need to be known. The quantity of services accessible on the internet as well as within businesses is increasing., which poses new challenges to looking for and locating necessary web services. There are diverse techniques available for the discovery of web services. Some of them are syntax-based, and additional approaches are semantic-based. Research work throws light upon the earlier work that has been done regarding the discovery of published web services.
