The Phenomenon of Growing Popularity of It Education and Its Impact on the Global Economy

Abstract

This article examines important aspects of information technology education in Ukraine as a historical and pedagogical phenomenon. Special attention is paid to the place and role of Ukrainian information technology education in the global IT market. The article also conducts a retrospective analysis of socio-economic, legal and historical-pedagogical conditions of formation and development of information technology education in Ukraine. It identifies the main stages and trends in the development of this industry, analyzes the formation of digital skills among school graduates and the specifics of training IT specialists for professional activities in the conditions of digitization of the labor market. The main problems of training IT specialists of various specialties in higher educational institutions and their readiness for employment in the IT field are investigated. A SWOT analysis of IT education in Ukraine was carried out. Prognostic substantiation of the further development of IT education in Ukraine in the conditions of economic recovery after the war and reform of the educational system is carried out.
