Mapping The Intellectual Structure Of Relocation Research: A Bibliometric Analysis Using Bibliometrix
Main Article Content
Abstract
The paper represents the bibliometric analysis of relocation research using the Bibliometrix R tool. In view of the rising importance of relocation services to the global economy in matters relating to employee mobility, residential, and company relocations, among others, the study has identified the main trends, influential authors, leading journals, and major research themes within the context of the subject area. Based on intellectual mapping, relocation research is systematically analyzed by considering the academic papers indexed in Scopus and Web of Science. The output obtained through metadata extraction and analysis by using the Bibliometrix R tool allowed for the co-citation networks, the keyword co-occurrence, and the evolution of the research topics over time. The findings showed that most of the studies focus on the influence of relocating employees on the performance of an organization. The U.S., China, and Europe were the major contributors to these studies. New areas of research are optimization of relocation services, vehicle relocation, fleet management, and carsharing. The contribution will be useful to researchers, practitioners, and policy analysts for deeper understanding in relocation services.
