Abstract

The study set out to examine the significance of Uzhavar Santhai in the lives of farmers. There are seven congregations of Uzhavar Santhai in the Pudukkottai District. Six of the seven were selected from blocks that comprised Gandarvakkottai, Aranthangi, Alangudi, Pudukkottai, Karambakudi, and Viralimalai. The inquiry was conducted and data were gathered. 108 replies in total were merged using the random sampling technique. According to the data gathered, the majority of farmers fell within the medium age range. More over half of the respondents have at least two acres of land, and many of them began farming in 2000. In this case, farming accounts for 80% of the farmer's employment, with the remaining 20% working as retailers.
