Harnessing Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and Power Automate Flows for Streamlined Data Management in Manufacturing Workflows
Main Article Content
Abstract
Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and Power Automate Flows are reshaping data management in manufacturing workflows by automating repetitive tasks, enhancing efficiency, and minimizing errors. This study explores their integration into manufacturing processes, highlighting key benefits such as reduced process completion time, lower error rates, and significant cost savings. Using data from ten manufacturing firms, the research demonstrates a 35% improvement in efficiency and a 50% reduction in errors post-automation. Notable insights include the importance of clear workflow design and workforce adaptation in maximizing automation's impact. Challenges such as high initial costs and legacy system integration are also addressed, emphasizing the need for structured implementation strategies. The findings underscore the transformative potential of combining RPA and Power Automate with emerging technologies like artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) for long-term scalability. By leveraging these tools, manufacturers can streamline operations, improve decision-making, and maintain a competitive edge in the Industry 4.0 era. Future research should focus on exploring hybrid models and sustainable scalability to enhance automation’s adaptability.
