Abstract

The accounting profession is undergoing significant transformation due to advancements in Artificial Intelligence (AI). This study evaluates AI's impact on traditional accounting roles, identifies emerging career opportunities, and examines the academic challenges of integrating AI into accounting education. AI technologies such as machine learning, robotic process automation (RPA), and data analytics are revolutionizing accounting practices by automating routine tasks, improving accuracy, and enabling strategic decision-making. Emerging roles, including AI auditors and ethical AI specialists, require a blend of traditional accounting expertise and advanced AI skills.
