Abstract

 Turkey has a distinctive geographical location, which makes it a major regional power in the Middle East. It also has political and economic relations with the countries of the region and the world, through regional and international alliances, which it has woven since the founding of the Turkish state in 1923, as a result of the agreement concluded in the same year that gave Turkey This large geography was also given to the Turkish straits of the Dardanelles and the Bosphorus, but the agreements restricted Turkish sovereignty over the straits and placed them under international guardianship.
