Need for Capacity Requirements for Preparation of District Planning

Abstract

District planning in India is a vital process that aims to promote balanced regional development, ensure efficient use of resources, and address the unique needs of each district. However, the effectiveness of district planning largely depends on the capacity of various stakeholders involved, including local governments, administrative bodies, and community organizations. District planning capacity building faces challenges due to limited resources, lack of political will, and inadequate training opportunities. This paper highlights the importance of capacity requirements necessary for successful district planning in India.
