Abstract

Fintech has significantly transformed the usage of financial services and changed how individuals engage with these innovations. This study aims to validate the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) in the context of Fintech adoption in Northeast India. Importantly, this study intends to predict usage intention based on Performance Expectancy (PE), Effort Expectancy (EE), Facilitating Conditions (FC), and Social Influence (SI). Analyzing 454 responses using a multi-layer perceptron neural network approach, the study achieved a prediction accuracy of 86%. This high level of accuracy demonstrates the UTAUT model's effectiveness in identifying individuals with high or low usage intention and confirms its validity in the context of Fintech adoption.
