Abstract
Teacher training has a profound and long-term impact on student success, particularly in higher education where the complexity of subject matter and the diversity of student needs require advanced pedagogical skills. This paper explores how well-designed teacher training programs contribute to student achievement by enhancing instructors' content knowledge, pedagogical strategies, and classroom management skills. We analyze the direct and indirect effects of teacher professional development on student outcomes, including academic performance, engagement, and retention rates. Further, the paper discusses the importance of continuous professional development and suggests best practices for fostering teacher growth, ultimately benefitting students in higher education.
